Description
International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is a group of Automotive Manufacturers and their respective National Automotive Industry Associations, formed to define, establish and maintain a system for management of Quality System in Automotive Supply Chain worldwide for cars, components and parts. IATF has created five Oversight offices located in France (IATF France), Germany (VDA-QMC), Italy (ANFIA), United Kingdom (SMMT) and United States of America (IAOB) to administer the IATF registration scheme.IATF 16949 certification ensures that the quality management system requirements of automotive production that includes design, development, production, fabrication, assembly and installation, is effective and consistent throughout the automotive supply chain. Automotive core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA are some of the recommended tools for process analysis and control which assists in making the planned quality system robust and effective.
